Easter Weekend – Borrowed Buck’s Roadhouse

Another great weekend for Mr. Ed and everyone else who drank enough to make us sound better than we are!  (In case you forgot our motto:  The more you drink, the better we sound.)  Easter weekend was a blast!  Great turnout, Great party (as usual, of course).  The biggest news this time was the unveiling of Mr. Ed’s new line of casual sportswear……kinda……well……..OKAY, we got some T-Shirts printed up.  They’re really cool though.  Insert shameless marketing plug here:  All the cool people are wearing them.  Everyone wants one.  They’re good for the environment.  Please buy one.  You’ll be glad you did (but not near as glad as we will be ( tee – hee)).

Coming back to the motto:  I found out that although it is indeed true that the more you drink, the better we sound, the inverse is also true; that is, the more we drink, the worse we play!  Forrest and I have done extensive research on this.  We’re now working on an algorithm that will allow us to drink more and play worse, while at the same time having you, the audience, drink more so we sound better.  If our assumptions are correct, we will be able to drink more, slowly play worse, while the audience actually thinks we are playing better!  I know it sounds like light without heat, but we’re working hard on finding a solution to this historically confounding problem.

Anyway, back to the gig.  Saturday night Ryan had a conflicting engagement to tend to, so we had a hired gun come fill in for him for a couple of sets.  Keith Pechtl (his friends call him “Keith Pechtl”) played “like the wind” for us Saturday night.  We had an awesome time.  We jammed so hard, we didn’t even notice Ryan was gone.  Oh yeah; Ryan, if you’re reading this, you’re out of the band.  Sorry.  (just kidding, of course – we practice in his basement)  Ryan came back for the last two sets, and we had Keith come up and sing a smokin’ rendition of “Wanna Rock” by April Wine.  After the gig, we sat around and shot the bull until about 3:00 am.  We had an awesome time.

We’ve got a couple of gigs lined up for the summer, but as of right now they’re top secret (i.e. I’m not sure when or where they are).  If you want to keep up on our goings-on, shoot us an email (mistered@misteredlive.com), and type “Keep me up on your goings-on”, and we’ll keep you posted.  Until then, don’t go see any other bands, and for that matter, don’t leave your house or talk to strangers.  Just stay glued to your computer until we say it’s safe to come out and see us jam.  You can trust us.  Honest……….
